Excursion to Potsdam:
The excursion will give the
conference attendees and their accompanying persons the opportunity
to visit one of the highlights in the metropolitan area Berlin/Brandenburg, the city of
Potsdam.
It will take place on Thursday,
September 11, 2008, from 14:00
to approx. 18:00.
In Potsdam, the Royal Seat of the Brandenburg-Prussian
rulers, master builders and artists created a
fascinating ensemble of palaces, parks and gardens. This unique
park landscape was designated as a "world cultural heritage site" by
UNESCO in 1990.
The excursion has to be booked
through the
online registration at
time of registration.
An additional fee
of 30 €
will be charged for participation in the excursion.
The excursion will begin as a guided bus trip through Berlin
from the Radisson SAS hotel to the city of Potsdam. In
Potsdam you will enjoy a guided tour through either the "Sanssouci
Palace" or the "New
Palace" and you will have some time to stroll through the
beautiful park. Before the buses head back to Berlin we will have a
guided bus tour visiting some of Potsdam's other highlights (Russian
Colony Alexandrowka,
Dutch Quarter, etc.).
